Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul, who tied the knot in January 2023, have fueled speculation about expecting their first child. The couple themselves haven't made an official announcement, but a recent comment by Athiya's father, Suniel Shetty, has sparked rumours.

During an episode of the dance reality show Dance Deewane, where Suniel Shetty is a judge, the host, Bharti Singh, playfully referred to him as a "cool Nana" (grandfather). In response, Suniel said, "Yes, next season when I come I will be walking on the stage like a Nana." This cryptic remark has ignited speculation that Athiya might be pregnant.

Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Athiya is an avid social media user and keeps posting her photos and videos. However, there were no hints of a baby on the way in any of her recent Instagram posts.

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played Mrs Roshan in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), has taken to social media to express her dissatisfaction with the pace of the legal proceedings following her sexual harassment case win against producer Asit Modi.

Jennifer, who exited the show in 2023, had filed a complaint against Modi last year. In a recent video posted on Instagram, she claims victory in the case but alleges the show's production team, Neela Films, is disregarding the verdict.

The former TMKOC actress has reportedly met with senior police officials at Powai and Hiranandani police stations, urging them to file a charge sheet against Modi. She has expressed frustration with the delay and threatened a public protest if the charge sheet isn't filed soon.

"I have given them an ultimatum," Mistry stated in the video. "If they don't do it quickly, especially the charge sheet work, I don't even know what I will do. It is possible that I may sit in protest when Draupadi Murmu ji [India's President] is coming here."

Earlier this year, the trailer of Monkey Man dropped on the internet and it created a sensation across the world. It is directed by Dev Patel of Slumdog Millionaire (2009) fame and he also features in the lead role. The action and violence in the trailer and also the treatment caught the attention and generated tremendous excitement. It had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 11 where it received a long standing ovation. The reaction at this film festival further added to the hype. It is all set to release in the USA and other major territories on April 5. In India, it was scheduled to release on April 19. But in the last few days, the assets dropped by Universal Pictures India on social media have stopped carrying the release date. Instead, 'Coming soon' is mentioned. Even on the popular ticket app BookMyShow, the release date of the film has vanished. It has led to fears that the film might not make it on April 19.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The studio wants to bring Monkey Man to theatres in India on April 19. But it all depends on its clearance by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film has excessive violence and there are fears that some of its aspects might hurt the sentiments of the section of the audience. Hence, the Censor process is expected to take time.”

The source added, “Also, the Universal Studios team in the USA also needs to permit the changes asked by the CBFC. Once they approve, the local team will carry out the changes and only then, the team will announce the release date.”

The source further said, “If the process gets completed on time, Monkey Man will be released in India on April 19. Or else, it’ll release a week later, on April 26. A clearer picture will emerge in a week’s time, hopefully.”

Monkey Man is the story of a young man who unleashes a campaign of vengeance against the corrupt leaders who murdered his mother. Besides Dev Patel, it also stars Sharlto Copley, Sikandar Kher, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vipin Sharma and others. It was earlier scheduled to premiere directly on Netflix. But later, Jordan Peele of Get Out (2017) and Us (2019) fame saw the film and he acquired it with the belief that the film deserves a theatrical release.

No Entry sequel, which has been doing the rounds for almost a decade now, is expected to have caused a rift between the Kapoor brothers. While the original, produced by Boney Kapoor, featured Anil Kapoor as one of the leading men along with Salman Khan and Fardeen Khan, the upcoming second installment is expected to have a completely new cast of Arjun Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan. The producer confessed that Anil was quite upset when his name was not added to star-cast.

In a recent interaction with Zoom, Boney Kapoor opened up about how he wanted to give the news to Anil Kapoor, but the news was leaked in the media, which resulted in the latter being angry with his elder brother. “Before I could tell my brother Anil about the No Entry sequel and the cast involved, he got angry as the news was already leaked. It was unfortunate that it was leaked. I know he wanted to be a part of the No Entry sequel, but there was no space. I wanted to explain why I did what I did,” he told the channel. However, he hopes that all will be fine soon. “In the process, my brother is still not talking properly. I hope it all gets sorted out soon. Let’s see,” he added.

On the other hand, he elaborated on the reason behind bringing the new cast on board, “Varun and Arjun are great friends. Their chemistry could come out in the story, and Diljit is massive today. He has a great fan following. I wanted to make it relevant in today’s time. That’s why I did this casting.”

For the unversed, the 2005 romantic comedy featured Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, Celina Jaitly, and Bipasha Basu as the leading ladies. It is yet to be seen who will be seen as the leading ladies in the upcoming sequel. If reports are to be believed, once the casting is locked, the film is slated to go on floors by the end of this year.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is seen having a ball this week in Crew, has been roped in for a pivotal role in Malayalam filmmaker Geetu Mohandas’ Hindi-Kannada bilingual Toxic featuring KGF’s Yash in the lead.

I also have details on her role. For months now there has been speculation that Kareena was signed in to play Yash’s romantic lead in Toxic. That was misinformation. As we broke earlier, Kiara Advani and not Kareena Kapoor Khan plays Yash’s leading lady in Toxic.

Kareena will be seen in another, very powerful role as Yash’s sister. A source clued in to the development, “It is basically a brother-sister story with Yash and Kareena playing inseparable siblings. The director was keen to have Kareena on board in Toxic from the inception of the project. Negotiations were on. Everyone presumed Kareena was being brought into the project as Yash’s leading lady when in fact Kareena was offered a far more powerful role. She has never been seen like this before.”

With Imran recently confirming about his relationship with Washington after several rumours, now we hear that the couple will be living together in Mumbai in the apartment of Karan Johar.

If reports are to be believed, Imran Khan and Lekha Washington have rented the Bandra flat of filmmaker Karan Johar for a whopping Rs. 9 lakhs. As per Zapkey, this new residence located in the third-floor of Clefepete apartments boasts of a sea view and is said to be in close proximity to one of the houses which was rented by Aamir Khan earlier. According to this real estate data platform, the agreement, dated for March 20, 2024, is expected to have been signed for a period of three years.

The rumours of Imran Khan and Lekha Washington dating have been doing the rounds for quite some years, possibly ever since he announced his separation from wife Avantika Malik. In an interaction with Vogue, the Jaane Tu actor confirmed his relationship status and added, “The rumors about my romantic involvement with Lekha Washington are indeed true. I have been divorced and separated since February 2019.”

For the unversed, Imran Khan was previously married to Avantika Malik. The childhood sweethearts tied the knot in 2011 and in 2014, the couple became parents to a daughter, Imara Malik Khan. Is the very talented Sakshi Tanwar a part of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan? Reports surfaced recently claiming she was cast as Yash’s co-star.

Sakshi was last seen in the Netflix series Mai. With its stretched-out story of a mother’s revenge on her daughter’s assassins (Sridevi and Raveena Tandon got there first in Mom and Matr) Mai just ended up being a messy melodrama about an angry mother. If it wasn’t for Sakshi Tanwar’s ‘Mum hoge kamyaab’ performance, Mai wouldn’t be worth mentioning.

Now we hear that she is playing Mandodari in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan. If Valmiki was still around he would be happy to write another Ramayan about innumerable rumours and lies being spread about director Nitesh Tiwari’s proposed adaptation of the Ramayan.

The latest lie about the casting of the Ramayan concerns Ravana’s wife. While Ravana is reportedly played by Yash (no confirmation on this from the actor or the producers) a new “news” report doing the rounds insisted that Sakshi Tanwar is playing Ravana’s wife.

Further to that, reports also insisted that Yash’s fans are upset about this, as the unfathomably talented Sakshi Tanwar did not measure up to Yash’s stardom.

This writer touched base with Sakshi. Her response was: “I haven’t been approached for the part.”

Hope this kills one more outrageous rumour about the casting in Ramayan. Until the next one pops up.

Movie Review: PATNA SHUKLLA is a well-made courtroom drama.

Patna Shuklla Movie Synopsis: PATNA SHUKLLA is the story of a common woman’s uncommon fight. Tanvi Shukla (Raveena Tandon) resides in Patna with her husband Siddharth Shukla (Manav Vij) and son Sonu (Arijeet Kaurav). While Tanvi is a lawyer in the lower court, Siddharth works in the water department. Tanvi is good at her job but she often feels that Siddharth belittles her. One day, she comes across Rinki Kumari (Anushka Kaushik), a third-year BSc student. She has failed in her final exams, securing just 30%. Her grouse is that she had worked hard for the paper and as per her calculations, she should have secured a minimum of 60%. Though she requests a recheck, her marks remain unchanged. Hence, she asks Tanvi to fight her case. Tanvi agrees when she realizes that Rinki comes from a poor family and her failure in the exams can put her father Matadin (Ambrish Kumar Shukla) under great stress. The Vihar University Vice Chancellor, Harsh Sinha (late Rio Kapadia), gets a jolt when he gets the notice for the case. This is because Tanvi’s marks were interchanged with those of Raghubir Singh (Jatin Goswami), a dreaded politician and son of leader Daanveer Singh (Alok Chatterjee). Harsh, hence, appoints successful lawyer Neelkanth Mishra (Chandan Roy Sanyal) to personally fight the case to ensure their victory. The case begins and it’s presided over by Judge Arun Kumar Jha (late Satish Kaushik). What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Patna Shuklla Movie Story Review: Vivek Budakoti, Sammeer Arora and Farid Khan's story is intriguing but also gets a bit routine at places. Vivek Budakoti, Sammeer Arora and Farid Khan's screenplay is effective in most places. The courtroom drama scenes tend to get clichéd in some scenes. But the emotional moments stand out and add a lot to the film. Vivek Budakoti, Sammeer Arora and Farid Khan's dialogues are sharp.

Vivek Budakoti's direction is neat. The execution is simple and the focus is firmly kept on the characters and the drama that ensues. The realism is captured well but most importantly, the plot strikes a chord. A subject like this is barely tackled in a courtroom drama setup and hence, it makes for an interesting watch. It also raises an important point that not just the system, but even the common man has encouraged corruption at his convenience and hence, no one is innocent. A few moments that stand out are Rinku’s first meeting with Tanvi, Raghubir Singh’s entry, the mid-point when Rinku decides to fight come what may etc. The emotional moments stand out like Siddharth standing up for Tanvi, Tanvi at Srivastav’s (Balendra Singh) daughter Meghna’s (Palak Jain) wedding and the scenes between Tanvi and Arun Kumar Jha outside the court. The twist in the pre-climax is unexpected and adds a nice touch to the narrative.

On the flipside, the pace drops in between. The comical side of the judge instantly reminds one of the JOLLY LLB series. It also looks forced. Some of the arguments placed by Tanvi seemed weak and it didn’t look convincing. It is also bewildering why Tanvi never thought of filing a Right To Information (RTI) plea; in the past, students have taken this route to get justice. Lastly, Tanvi suddenly starts being hailed as ‘Patna Shukla’. Why it happened is never explained.

Patna Shuklla Movie Performances: Raveena Tandon delivers a smashing performance and suits the part. She is great in the courtroom scenes but shines in the emotional moments. Manav Vij lends able support. Chandan Roy Sanyal, as expected, rocks the show. Satish Kaushik is quite adorable. Anushka Kaushik puts up a confident act. Jatin Goswami is great in the role of the villain. Arijeet Kaurav is very cute and his scenes will surely put a smile on the faces of the viewers. Dayashankar Pandey (Surendra Mohan) and Alok Chatterjee are wasted. Raju Kher (Tanvi's father) also doesn’t get much scope. Balendra Singh and Palak Jain do well in small roles. Rio Kapadia is fair. Ambrish Kumar Shukla and Rajshree Thakkar (Mahua; house help) are okay. Sushmita Mukherjee (Lata Jha; the judge's wife) has a cameo and is entertaining. The actor playing Zaibuddin Ansari leaves a huge mark.

Patna Shuklla Movie music and other technical aspects: Both the songs of the film are forgettable. Karan Kulkarni's background score is in sync with the film’s theme.

Neha Parti Matiyani's cinematography is appropriate. Amrish Patange and Dayanidhi Patturajan's production design is realistic. Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Ashley Rebello's costumes are straight out of life. Rinku Bachan Singh's action is minimal. Vini N Raj's editing could have been sharper.

Patna Shuklla Movie Conclusion: On the whole, PATNA SHUKLLA is a well-made courtroom drama that raises important issues.

Filmmaker extraordinaire Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to make his digital debut with the much-anticipated web series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. At the special event on Wednesday, it was confirmed that the series is premiering on streaming giant Netflix on May 1. The release date of this ambitious project was unveiled in a drone light show event held at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai.

Joining the celebration were the stars of the show, including the talented ensemble cast featuring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Nikita Dutta kicked off the shoot for the high-octane heist thriller titled Jewel Thief in February 2024. With filming underway, the anticipation surrounding this action-packed venture, helmed by director Robbie Grewal of Romeo Akbar Walter fame, is palpable. Produced by Siddharth Anand under his banner Marflix Pictures, this project marks Anand's second foray into production following Fighter. Now, the team readies for its second schedule set to unfold in Mumbai come April, followed by the final leg slated to take place across the picturesque landscapes of Europe.

As per a report in Mid-day, a source revealed, “The second schedule begins from April 7 during which Saif and Jaideep will shoot critical portions across real locations in south and suburban Mumbai. It will be a 20-day stint after which the unit will head to Europe for the final leg. The director plans to film some songs and an action sequence in the foreign stint. He is currently on a recce in Europe and will lock the locations by the weekend. Robbie’s plan is to wrap up the project by May.”

At the heart of Jewel Thief lies a clash of titans as Khan and Ahlawat's characters find themselves entangled in a web of intrigue and deception. Penned by Grewal, Anand, and Sambit Mishra, the film promises to deliver a relentless battle of wits amidst the backdrop of a high-stakes robbery. On Sunday, Kangana Ranaut took to her official social media handle to announce her association with the Bharatiya Janata Party, wherein she announced that she will be contesting the upcoming elections as their Lok Sabha Candidate from Himachal Pradesh Constituency. After this announcement came in reports, a member of the Congress party took to the platform to make some derogatory comments on the actress and also posted her photo from one of her bold photoshoots.

Quite some time back, Kangana Ranaut had done a couple of bold photoshoots in a white colour corset bralet top, which was reposted by the Congress leader Supriya Shrinate on her Instagram handle. It was followed by a rather nasty comment on the actress’ character which did not go down well with her. Owing to the same, Ranaut raised her voice against such demeaning statements and added, “Dear Supriya ji, In the last 20 years of my career as an artist I have played all kinds of women. From a naive girl in Queen to a seductive spy in Dhaakad, from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi, from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii. We must free our daughters from the shackles of prejudices, we must rise above the curiosity about their body parts and above all we must refrain from using sex workers challenging lives or circumstances as some kind of abuse or slur… every woman deserves her dignity”.

Soon after her post, Supriya Shrinate claimed that her account was hacked and that the statement was not made by her. She also blamed a parody account which is expected to be on her name and shared a video with the caption in Hindi that read, “(translated) Many people have access to my Facebook and Instagram accounts. One of these people had posted a very disgusting and objectionable post today. As soon as I came to know about this, I removed that post. Anyone who knows me knows very well that I don't make personal remarks about any woman. It has come to my knowledge that this post was earlier running on a parody account (@Supriyaparody). Someone picked up this post from here and posted it on my account. I am trying to identify the person who did this. Also, the parody account created by misusing my name has also been reported in X.”

On the other hand, another Congress leader H.S. Ashir also came in the line of fire wherein he too made some derogatory remarks accusing the character of Ranaut. Followed by this, the National Commission of Women has come in support of Kangana and has demanded an action to be taken against these two political leaders. The NCW wrote on their official X, formerly known as Twitter, handle, saying, “National Commission for Women is appalled by the disgraceful conduct of Ms. Supriya Shrinate and Mr. H.S. Ahir, who made lewd and derogatory remarks about @KanganaTeam on social media. Such behavior is intolerable and goes against the dignity of women. @sharmarekha has sent a letter to the Election commissioner of India demanding an immediate and strict action against them. Let's uphold respect and dignity for all women. #RespectWomen”

Followed by the extensive support from NCW and other women organizations as well as the massive outrage on social media, H.S. Ashir too has addressed the issue claiming that his account too was being misused and apologized to the actress. “Today someone with access to my X account made a very disgusting and objectionable comment. As soon as I came to know about this, I removed that post. I publicly apologize to everyone for this. Especially, sister @KanganaTeam, I sincerely apologize to you.”

Since its inception, Amazon Prime Video in India has delivered several memorable shows, but Panchayat stands out. The show, set in a small village in North India, is loved for its simplicity, humour, performances and also because it appeals to audiences of all ages. The first season dropped in 2020 and became a huge hit. The second season which came in 2022 was as exciting and entertaining as part 1 and also got huge viewership. As a result, there’s tremendous excitement for the third season, which is ready and is expected to stream soon. At the grand Amazon Prime Video event last week, the attendees got a sneak peek of the teaser of Panchayat’s Season 3. It was quite loved as it unveiled an interesting plot point of the show.

It turns out that the character of Ganesh (Aasif Khan) returns in Season 3. Ganesh was seen in Season 1 in an interesting cameo of a disgruntled groom who gets into a fight with Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar), the lead of the series and secretary of Phulera Gram Panchayat. Ganesh’s character has become immortal in the world of memes, thanks to the dialogue ‘Gazab beizzati hai’. Though it was not uttered by him, he can be seen in the meme, and it’s associated with him generally.

The teaser of Panchayat’s Season 3 depicts that Abhishek has been transferred to a different village. Ganesh, meanwhile, takes his place as the ‘sachiv’ (secretary) at the Gram Panchayat at Phulera. Though Ganesh is married to Raveena, the daughter of Phluera resident Parmeshwar (Shrikant Verma), the former didn’t have a good experience in the village on the day of his marriage. How this aspect affects Ganesh’s equation with the Phulera residents and the sarpanch Manju Devi (Neena Gupta), husband Brij Bhushan Dubey (Raghubir Yadav), Prahlad (Faisal Malik) and Vikas (Chandan Roy) remains to be seen.

Panchayat’s Season 2 ended on a sombre note as Prahlad’s son Rahul gets martyred. Local MLA Chandra Kishore (Pankaj Jha), upset with Abhishek, gets him transferred to a different village. The show also features Sanvikaa as Rinki, Manju Devi and Brij Bhushan’s daughter, who has feelings for Abhishek.

It has been over a decade since the release of Krrish 3 in 2013, and the absence of any concrete information about the next film has left fans eagerly awaiting news of its development. However, in a recent update provided by filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, it appears that progress is finally being made. After a long wait filled with anticipation, fans of the Indian superhero franchise Krrish finally have reason to rejoice. In 2023, it was reported that Rakesh Roshan hinted Krrish 4 wouldn't begin production until the end of 2024. Now, Mid-day reveals that both Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan are gearing up to kickstart the project sooner than expected.

According to sources close to the production, Hrithik Roshan will be actively involved in conceptualizing the next installment of the superhero saga while simultaneously shooting for War 2. Collaborating with his father and their in-house team of writers, the aim is to solidify the primary idea for Krrish 4 this year. According to the publication, a source said, “The project is currently in development. Hrithik has scheduled brainstorming sessions throughout the summer. Both Rakesh and he wants to deliver a story that will exceed expectations.”

While details about the plot remain under wraps, earlier rumours suggested that Krrish 4 could explore the realm of intergalactic travel. With plans to lock in the primary concept in 2024, the stage will be set for the commencement of shooting in 2025. The source added, “The team has explored and subsequently shot down a lot of ideas. The makers are certain that if the story doesn’t work, they won’t go ahead with it. Much before Animal, it was Prakash Jha’s web show Aashram that turned out to be a game changer for Bobby Deol. The show sees him play the evil godman Kashipur Wale Baba who has an image of a saint. So far, three seasons of the MX Player show have been released and the wait is on for the fourth one.

While there has been a lot of speculation about the release of the next season of Aashram, there has been no announcement by the makers so far. But now, Chandan Roy Sanyal, who plays Baba’s right hand man Bhopa Swami, has thrown some light on the release of the season 4 of the show.

“Everyone is asking the same question. I think it should come this year. Tayaari toh poori hai (the preparations are on). Some portions of the shoot are remaining and some scripting too is happening,” said Chandan in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama.

He also said that wherever he goes, people greet him with ‘Japnaam,’ like they do in the show. “A lot of people say that whenever I go to the airport or restaurant,” said the actor. “Aashram is such a show that has reached all sections of the audience. Whether it’s an auto-rickshaw driver or bus driver, CRPF guard, security guard at the airport, air hostess, biggest surgeon at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital, etc. All of them are doing Japnaam. The way Prakash ji has made the show, it has gone far and wide.”

Aashram also stars Aaditi Pohankar, Tridha Choudhury, Esha Gupta, Anupriya Goenka, Darshan Kumaar, among others.

Actress Taapsee Pannu has been in a relationship with Mathias Boe for quite some time. Now, reports have emerged that the two got married on March 23. As per a report by News 18, the wedding took place in a private ceremony in Udaipur, which was attended by Taapsee’s near and dear ones. For the unversed, Mathias is a Danish badminton player and an Olympic gold medallist.

A source told the publication, “The wedding took place in Udaipur and was an extremely intimate affair. The pre-wedding festivities kick-started on March 20. The couple was very sure that they didn’t want any media attention on their big day. Both of them are known to be very private and reserved people and they wouldn’t have had it any other way.”

Speaking about the attendees, the source added, “Taapsee’s Dobaaraa and Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati joined the guests at her and Mathais’ wedding. Anurag Kashyap, who shares a rather close bond with Taapsee and has directed her in films like Manmarziyaan and Dobaara and produced Saand Ki Aankh, also flew to Udaipur.”

The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has come up with its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Among them are two names from the entertainment industry in the form of Kangana Ranaut and Arun Govil. They will be fighting from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh and Meerut constituency in Uttar Pradesh respectively.

Kangana has been a vocal supporter of BJP and its governance for years. After getting the news, the Gangster actress shared her happiness on her X (formerly Twitter) page by writing, “My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta’s own party, Bharatiya Janta party (BJP) has always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Loksabha candidate from my birth place Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency) I abide by the high command’s decision on contesting Loksabha polls. Arun Govil, who is already a member of the BJP since 2021, is best known for his portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s classic television show Ramayan on Doordarshan. He has also acted in a number of Hindi movies. He will next be seen in the role of Lord Vitthal in the Hindi movie Sant Tukaram, where well-known Marathi actor Subodh Bhave will be the titular role.

Kangana, on the other hand, will next be seen in the role of India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie Emergency, which she has also directed.

Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the pinnacle of his career as he shoots for what promises to be the biggest song sequence in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 as his entry song. The film's creators, Bhushan Kumar and director Anees Bazmee, are leaving no stone unturned to make the sequel even more iconic than its predecessor. With a massive set erected in Film City and choreography by the renowned Ganesh Acharya, the stage is set for an extravagant and unforgettable musical spectacle.

A source close to the project recently divulged details. “It is one of Bollywood’s biggest song shoots till date. 1000 dancers joined in yesterday and this is Rooh Baba's entry scene in the film. Kartik has been working on this for the past two weeks. His prep is flawless. The scale and extravagance of the set promise a visual feast for audiences. Ganesh and Kartik have tried something unexpected and never seen before. The shoot started this week and will continue into next week.”

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set for a grand Diwali 2024 release. Besides Kartik, the third instalment of the horror-comedy will also star Triptii Dimri and OG Manjulika Vidya Balan. Speaking of the shoot, the cast and the crew recently started shooting for the film along with director Anees Bazmee.

The election season is here and like every time, the political parties are attempting to get film stars to stand for elections to increase their chances of winning. It has come to light that the chief minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, is in talks with actor Govinda to be Shiv Sena’s candidate from the Mumbai North West seat. Meanwhile, there are reports that Congress is wooing actress Swara Bhasker to fight the elections.

There are conflicting reports on who was the first one to approach. Some reports claim that Eknath Shinde made the first move and met Govinda around 5 days ago while according to certain reports, Govinda called the CM on Friday, March 22, and asked for a ticket. It is also said that the other Shiv Sena faction, led by Uddhav Thackeray, has decided to give the ticket of the same constituency to Amol Kirtikar. Amol’s father, Gajanan Kirtikar, a sitting MP, is with Shinde Sena and he doesn’t want to fight against his son. Hence, Eknath Shinde zeroed in on Govinda.

The decision of Govinda to enter politics yet again has caused a stir in political as well as Bollywood circles. In 2004, Govinda won from Mumbai North on a Congress ticket, breaking BJP’s five-term streak. However, the actor was criticized for not giving enough time to his political career.

In an interview with Bombay Times in December 2016, Govinda said, “I have no regrets about my career in films, but I regret joining politics. I didn't get a film for 10 years. I planned to leave politics while I was still a part of it, but I completed my term and never looked back.” Last year, a fake tweet, over a political row in Haryana, attributed to him went viral. That’s when the actor claimed, “It’s been 18 years since I quit politics, I won’t slyly tweet to get back into it.”

On the other hand, Swara Bhasker, known for her acting chops as well as her activism, is said to be one of the candidates that Congress is considering for the Mumbai North Central seat. Reports also state that the other candidate who might get the Congress ticket for the same seat is veteran actor Raj Babbar.

Madgaon Express Movie Synopsis: MADGAON EXPRESS is the story of three friends in trouble. In 1998, Dhanush Sawant aka Dodo (Divyenndu), Pratik Garodia aka Pinku (Pratik Gandhi) and Ayush Gupta (Avinash Tiwary) of Mumbai are in Class 10 and they dream of going to Goa after their board examinations. Due to their parents' reluctance, they are unable to do so. In 2003, they once again plan the trip after their graduation. Sadly, the car meets with the accident as soon as they begin their journey. The plan is yet again put on the backburner. A few years later, Pinku moves to Cape Town while Ayush migrates to New York. Both succeed in life and their pay package also increases. Meanwhile, Dodo is not able to have a steady job. He keeps in touch with Pinku and Ayush on social media and sees that they have become stinking rich. Hence, Dodo uses Photoshop to paint a false picture that he resides in a penthouse and is having the time of his life. In 2015, Pinku and Ayush decide to fly down to Mumbai. They inform Dodo about it and also tell him that they'll stay at his 'penthouse'! Dodo obviously gets tense and hence, he suggests that as soon as they land, the three of them should fulfil their plan of going to Goa. Pinku and Ayush agree. Since Dodo can't afford expensive flight tickets, he books three tickets in Madgaon Express under the pretext that they should travel like they would have, had they gone to the beach state in 2003! Pinku and Ayush hate the idea but give in. Sadly, for them, things go wrong even before they board the train and soon, they find themselves being confronted by dangerous criminals like Kanchan Kombdi (Chhaya Kadam) and Mendonza Bhai (Upendra Limaye). What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Madgaon Express Movie Story Review: Kunal Kemmu's story is crazy. Kunal Kemmu's screenplay moves at a fine speed – neither too fast nor too dragging. He peppers the narrative with some hilarious and outrageous moments, which will bring the house down. However, in the second half, the writing could have been more imaginative. Kunal Kemmu's dialogues are one of the USPs of the film and add to the madness.

Kunal Kemmu's direction is supreme. As a first timer, he handles the execution like a seasoned pro. He puts effort in establishing the characters and the setting before taking them to Goa. While doing so, the entertainment quotient remains the priority. He also keeps the emphasis on physical comedy. Viewers haven’t seen that in a long time and that goes into the film’s favour. The villains are well fleshed out and increase the humour quotient of the movie.

On the flipside, there are too many songs in the film. In the second half, the film dips. The track of Dr Danny (Remo Dsouza) doesn’t work as intended. The chaos that ensues at Kanchan Kombodi’s base is intriguing but could have been funnier. The film, at this point, also gets quite violent and it might put off the family audience. Kanchan could have been the next Bholi Punjaaban but she hardly gets to show her funny side. The climax is unexpected but after seeing so much crazy stuff in the film, one would expect the finale to be next level. That doesn’t happen and this might leave audiences a bit shortchanged.

MADGAON EXPRESS starts on a great note. The manner in which Dodo starts giving a false impression on social media is too good. The fun begins once he meets Pinku and Ayush in 2015 and pretends to purposely roam around like a middle-class person. The sequence at the station and train are too funny. But once Pinku has an overdose of cocaine, the madness goes many notches higher. Post-interval, the scene of Mendonza Bhai’s interrogation takes the cake. The airport scene in the end will leave the audience in splits. The film ends with the promise of a sequel.

Madgaon Express Movie Performances: All three actors succeed but Pratik Gandhi takes the cake. His character is the most interesting and during the cocaine overdose track, he is outstanding. It’s also good to see him in such a space for the first time in a Hindi film. Divyenndu gets into the humour zone after ages and is terrific. Avinash Tiwary, too, puts his best foot forward and keeps his act restrained, as per the requirement of his character. Nora Fatehi (Tasha) looks lovely and delivers a decent performance. Chhaya Kadam rocks the show. Her character is novel and she does full justice to it. One wishes she had more to do in the film. Upendra Limaye plays a character which is a bit similar to what he essayed in ANIMAL [2023]. Nevertheless, he’s entertaining. Remo D'souza looks dashing and is fair though a more popular actor would have been appropriate for this part. Umesh Jagtap (Constable Santosh Sathe) and the actors playing Ganpath and the senior cop are fine. Kunal Kemmu is adorable in a cameo.

Madgaon Express Movie music and other technical aspects: The songs are average. 'Raaton Ke Nazaare' is the best of the lot and comes at a significant juncture. 'Baby Bring It On', meanwhile, is played in the end credits. 'Hum Yahin' is well-utilized in the film. 'Not Funny' is forced. 'Bohot Bhaari' and 'Who's Your Mommy' are relegated to the background. Sameeruddin's background score is in sync with the film's mood.

Adil Afsar's cinematography is praiseworthy, especially for the scenes shot in confined spaces. Prachi Deshpande's production design is realistic. Sabina Halder's costumes are authentic and the ones worn by Nora are glamorous. Aejaz Gulab and Vikram Dahiya's action is a bit gory. Anand Subaya and Sanjay Ingle's editing is satisfactory in the first half but could have been slicker in the second half.

Madgaon Express Movie Conclusion: On the whole, MADGAON EXPRESS is a decent entertainer and has the potential to work among the youth. The four-day weekend can also go in its favour.

Directed by Abbas Mustan, Baazigar is a story about Madan Chopra, passionate about racing, befriends Vicky Malhotra after his final win. Vicky falls for Madan's daughter Priya, much to Madan's joy, leading to plans for their marriage. Tragedy strikes when Seema, Madan's other daughter, allegedly dies by suicide. The comic caper Madgaon Express released today in cinemas and has got positive reviews from a majority of critics. The film is significant as it marks the directorial debut of actor Kunal Kemmu. Starring Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, Avinash Tiwary and Nora Fatehi, the names mentioned under ‘Special Thanks’ at the beginning of the film are sure to catch attention. This is because superstar Salman Khan and prominent filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap and Rohit Shetty have been thanked by the makers. It made many people curious since the trio are not associated with the film in any capacity.

Bollywood Hungama has learned the reason behind their mention. A source told us, “In the film, Dodo (Divyenndu) uses a photo editing software to pretend to the world that he keeps bumping into famous celebs. In one scene in the film, he’s seen ‘posing’ with superstar Salman Khan. In another shot, he puts a picture of him posing with Anurag Kashyap on social media. Kunal took permission from both of them and they were gracious enough to allow it. In the film, Anurag is even seen commenting on the photoshopped image, asking Dodo ‘Tu hai kaun’!”

As for Rohit Shetty, the source replied, “Kunal Kemmu and Rohit Shetty have worked together in Golmaal 3 (2010) and Golmaal Again (2017) and have a deep bond. Rohit heard Madgaon Express’ plot and found it quite promising. He encouraged Kunal to get into direction. Kunal was touched by Rohit Shetty’s constant support and hence, the mass filmmaker also got thanked.”

At the trailer launch of Madgaon Express, Kunal Kemmu revealed how he got the idea to make the film. He said, “Often, people say that their venture is a product of love. I think this (Madgaon Express) is a product of rage! Bahut zyada gussa aaya hua tha. Ghar baith ke soch raha tha ‘Kya ho raha hai?’. Kuch samaj mein nahin aa raha tha ki kya karein. I had two options – either I should get angry with myself and cry ya fir main aisa karoon jisse khud ko bhi hasee aayein aur dusro ko bhi. That’s what gave birth to Madgaon Express. Its characters helped me out of this time in life. They became my imaginary best friends and I started weaving a story around them.”

It was reported earlier that OMG 2 director Amit Rai is teaming up with Shahid Kapoor for a movie on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life, produced by Wakaoo Films. Now, it's revealed that Telugu producer Dil Raju is joining hands with Wakaoo Films for this project. The film is currently in pre-production, spearheaded by producers Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl. Previously, Raju and Shahid were to work together on Aneez Bazmee’s comedy film in which the actor had a double role. However, it did not pan out.

A source told Pinkvilla, “The yet untitled film with Shahid Kapoor is one of the most ambitious films of Indian Cinema and the makers are looking to celebrate the valour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the spectacle. They don’t want to leave any stone unturned and are partnering with the best in the business. Shahid Kapoor, Wakaoo Films, and Amit Rai have found their perfect partner in Dil Raju.”

“Amit Rai has been working on the subject for a while now and this happens to be his dream project. The writing and research work is underway, and the makers are also working on the pre-visualization of certain aspects. The idea is to make an authentic film on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” the source added.

“It’s impossible to retell Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life in a 3-hour feature film as every chapter of his life makes for a film in itself. The yet untitled Amit Rai directorial revolves around one of the most heroic wins of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” the source concluded.

Ae Watan Mere Watan Movie Synopsis: AE WATAN MERE WATAN is the story of a brave freedom fighter. The year is 1942. Usha Mehta (Sara Ali Khan) lives in Bombay (present-day Mumbai) with her father, Justice Hariprasad (Sachin Khedekar) and aunt (Madhu Raja). Hariprasad is a staunch British loyalist and believes that without them, India wouldn't be able to function properly. Usha, meanwhile, believes in the principles of Mahatma Gandhi (Uday Chandra). She participates in agitations along with her friends Kaushik (Abhay Verma), Fahad (Sparsh Shrivastava), Antara (Aditi Sanwal) and Bhaskar (Pratik Yadav). Balbir (Godaan Kumar), a Congress worker, notices them and asks them to join the party. On August 8, Gandhiji passes the 'Quit India' resolution and gives a new slogan to the country - 'Do or die'. The next day, the British government arrests Gandhiji and all other major leaders of the Congress. The newspapers and radio channels are censored and as a result, the voice of these leaders doesn't reach the masses. This is when Usha decides to start an underground radio station. With the help of a radio engineer, Firdaus (Anand Tiwari), she's able to set up a radio station, called Congress Radio. She plays the speeches of Congress leaders every night at 8:30 pm. Soon, people across the country learn about the radio station and it boosts them to fight the British. Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (Emraan Hashmi), who has escaped the clutches of the British, realizes that Congress Radio can be a powerful tool to gain independence. He meets Usha and his team and they decide to expand the radio's reach. Meanwhile, the British government is stunned by the impact of Congress Radio. They assign a no-nonsense officer, John Lyre (Alexx O'Nell), to kill the radio station and nab the ones running it. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

Ae Watan Mere Watan Movie Story Review: Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer's story is fascinating and it presents an untold chapter of India’s freedom struggle. Darab Farooqui's screenplay is effective. The storyline itself is so intriguing that the script automatically succeeds in involving the audience. However, at some point, the writing could have been tighter. Darab Farooqui's dialogues are conversational and reminiscent of the bygone era.

Kannan Iyer's direction is first-rate. In 133 minutes, he depicts multiple subplots, while keeping the focus on the track of Usha and her quest to run a rebel radio station. This aspect is the best part of the film as it’s novel. There have been films on Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Sardar Udham Singh, the 1857 revolution, partition etc. However, this is the first such film on the Congress Radio. It’s quite fascinating to see the British trying their best to locate where the radio station is held. Such sequences keep the viewers invested. A few scenes that stand out are Usha lying to her father about working at Congress, Usha’s decision to set up the radio station, Firdaus’ escape etc. The scene at the mosque is the most nail-biting sequence in the film. The finale, too, is well executed.

On the flipside, the love story track is the weakest part of the film. Kaushik’s decision to leave Usha and later return is unconvincing. The direction is overall satisfactory but in some places, it leaves a lot to be desired. The not-so-great VFX and production design also hampers the impact.

Ae Watan Mere Watan Movie Performances: Sara Ali Khan tries her best to deliver convincingly but in places, her performance leaves a lot to be desired. In some scenes, however, she brings out the vulnerability and valour of the legendary freedom fighter very well. Emraan Hashmi gets a rocking entry scene and is terrific. It’s difficult to imagine him playing a freedom fighter. But Emraan comes out with flying colours. His dialogue delivery is spot-on. Sachin Khedekar is dependable. Though he’s missing for most parts of the second half, he nevertheless leaves a mark. Sparsh Shrivastava, recently seen in LAAPATAA LADIES [2024], steals the show. Abhay Verma does well but is let down by the writing. Alexx O'Nell is wonderful as the antagonist. Madhu Raja is adorable. Godaan Kumar, Anand Tiwari, Chrisann Pereira (Julie) and the actor playing Daulat Khan lend able support. Uday Chandra is just okay and fails to reach the benchmark set by the other actors who have played Gandhi in the past.

Ae Watan Mere Watan Movie music and other technical aspects: The songs are soulful but won’t have a shelf life. The title track is not upto the mark. 'Julia' is catchy. 'Dua E Azaadi' comes at a significant juncture. 'Qatra Qatra' catches attention as it’s sung by Sukhwinder Singh. Utkarsh Dhotekar's background score is in sync with the film’s theme and period setting.

Amalendu Chaudhary's cinematography is neat. Amrita Mahal Nakai and Sabrina Singh's production design lacks the realism factor. One gets an impression that it’s a set and not the streets and buildings of Bombay in the early 40s. Futureworks Media Ltd's VFX is tacky. Ratna Dhanda's costumes, however, are authentic. Serina Tixeria's hair and makeup deserves a mention. Vikram Dahiya's action is a bit disturbing, as per the requirement. Sangeeth Varghese' editing is smooth.

Ae Watan Mere Watan Movie Conclusion: On the whole, AE WATAN MERE WATAN is worth watching as it presents an untold chapter of Indian history.

Sajid Nadiadwala is on a roll. Last week, he made the big announcement that he’s collaborating one more time with superstar Salman Khan for an exciting action entertainer. The film will be directed by A R Murugadoss of Ghajini (2008) fame and will arrive in cinemas on Eid 2025. On Tuesday, March 19, he announced his association with Amazon Prime Video for his four upcoming films – Kartik Aaryan-starrer Chandu Champion, Ahan Shetty-Pooja Hegde starrer Sanki, the multi-starrer comic caper Housefull 5 and Tiger Shroff’s action entertainer, Baaghi 4. The association between Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the streaming giant was announced at a grand event held by Amazon Prime Video in Mumbai. And now, we have learnt that the reputed producer has one more exciting project up his sleeve.

For many days, an under-construction project opposite Fun Republic in Andheri, Mumbai has caught the attention of several people passing by. This is because the gate proudly mentions NGI - Nadiadwala Grandson Infrastructure. It made people curious whether Sajid Nadiadwala is shifting his office or residence to this plot. Some even speculated that the producer has entered the real estate business.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Sajid Nadiadwala is putting his ambitious plans in place at this venue. A reliable source told us, “Mr Nadiadwala is constructing a state-of-the-art VFX studio at this plot. It has been his dream project for several years and it’s finally coming to fruition.”

When asked for more details, the source replied, “Not much is known as the project has been kept a secret. But we have learnt that he will be collaborating with an international VFX studio for his dream venture.”

We reached out to the spokesperson of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, who confirmed this development.

An industry insider commented, “This is a huge step for Sajid Nadiadwala. VFX is indispensable in today’s times and with this vertical, he can get the VFX-related work done in-house for his movies. And like Red Chillies.VFX and NY VFXWaala, he can also encourage other producers to use this facility. Knowing him, I am sure the services offered will be top-class.”

The highly-awaited film Maidaan is finally releasing next month in cinemas after a long wait. The Ajay Devgn-starrer faced numerous delays as the team faced various challenges. With the release nearly three weeks away, the makers of the film have now faced one more hurdle. A vendor has filed a case against Maidaan’s producer Boney Kapoor over non-payment of dues of nearly Rs. 1 crore.

As per a report in Mid-Day, the suit has been filed by Ninad Nayampally of Meherafrin Investments Private Limited at a civil court in Dindoshi, Mumbai against Boney Kapoor and also the other producers. Moreover, Ninad has even sought an injunction to prevent the release of Maidaan on Eid.

Ninad Nayampally told Mid-Day that they provided camera-related equipment to the unit of Maidaan. He revealed that initially, their invoices were cleared but the situation changed from December 2020. Once the payments stopped coming, Ninad raised the issue with Boney Kapoor. Ninad stated that Boney, at that time, assured them that their dues would be cleared. But when that didn’t happen, they decided to issue a legal notice to Boney Kapoor’s production house, Bayview Projects LLP.

Ninad Nayampally then said, “Having no route left, we took the legal recourse and issued a legal notice to Bayview and its directors with the intention that we would get some clarification on our dues. To our surprise, there was no response to our legal notice. Left with no other option, approaching the court of law was the only solution for our recovery.”

Easiah Dhanpal Xavier, who is also the complainant in the suit, added, “The producer had assured us that the outstanding dues would be settled before the release of the film. However, the producer and his partners have ceased all communications with us. Their conduct indicates a clear lack of intention to settle the outstanding dues owed to us.”

The article also carries screenshots of WhatsApp chats between Boney Kapoor and the vendor. It dates back to July 2023 and depicts the vendor asking for payment and when their dues would be cleared. Boney doesn’t reply to these pleas. Another screenshot shows the vendor once again approaching the producer in August. This time, Boney Kapoor asks him to meet him after August 14 or 15. This is followed by the vendor messaging on August 21 and 22 to ask about the meeting, which proves that both never met after August 15. These messages also didn't elicit a response from the veteran producer.

Boney Kapoor, however, spoke to Mid-Day and he claimed that he owes Rs. 63 lakhs and not Rs. 1 crore to Meherafrin Investments Private Limited. He stated, “I have spoken to my team and he (Ninad) has been told that he would be paid before the release of the picture, which is only a month away. Not only he, other vendors also have been promised the same. Everybody knows that the (movie) was stuck because of COVID.”

He continued, “I have made 45 films and nobody has been deprived in my company. There is no way that I will avoid any kind of payment. This is nothing but an arm-twisting tactic. I will clear whatever the bill is, excluding interest on the pending amount. We will reply to whatever is mentioned in the suit in court but he can’t seek an injunction before Rs 63 lakh is paid.”

A shakeup in the cast of the long-running television soap opera Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has seen the departure of actor Shehzada Dhami. Shehzada, who joined the show in November 2023 as the male lead after a generation leap, has been let go by producer Rajan Shahi due to reported unprofessional behaviour.

Shehzada, who played the role of Armaan, was introduced alongside actress Pratiksha Honmukhe (Roohi) as the new central couple. However, according to a source close to the show who spoke to Times Of India, "It was getting increasingly difficult to work with Shehzada and there were constant complaints from crew members about his behaviour."

The source continued, stating, "Despite efforts to address the issue, his behaviour persisted, disrupting the harmonious work atmosphere." Pratiksha Honmukhe, a newcomer mentored by the production company, was also let go "for not meeting the expectations for the character’s requirement."

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which first aired in January 2009, is known for its long-lasting lead couples. The show originally starred Hina Khan and Karan Mehra, followed by Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan. Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda were the most recent leads before the November 2023 generation leap that introduced Dhami and Honmukhe.

Reportedly, the search for replacements for Dhami and Honmukhe is underway, with an announcement expected soon. Meanwhile, the makers are yet to comment on the matter.

Bollywood Hungama was one of the first ones to inform readers on March 10 that the makers of a Bhojpuri film, Rang De Basanti, have accused the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson, Prasoon Joshi, of deliberately delaying the censor process as their film has a similar name to that of a 2006 Hindi film, starring Aamir Khan. They claim that Prasoon is probably doing so as he was associated with the Hindi film as a lyricist. After the news grabbed several eyeballs, the CBFC presented a list of cuts to the makers. Though it didn’t mention that the name of the film should be changed, the modifications asked by the CBFC’s Examining Committee were considered unfair by the makers. With the film’s release just a few days away, the producer, Roshan Singh, knocked on the doors of the Bombay High Court. Sadly, the Court refused to grant them relief. As a result, Rang De Basanti won’t be able to make it to cinemas this Friday, March 22.

An industry insider told us, “The CBFC’s side argued that the producer should have followed due process and approached the Revising Committee (RC) first instead of approaching the court directly. The makers argued that RC was ready to entertain them only after a month and hence, they decided to move Court. Justice G S Kulkarni and Justice Firdosh P Pooniwalla asked the RC to watch the film and submit the report within 10 days. But March 22 is just 4 days away. In other words, Rang De Basanti’s release stands cancelled.”

Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke to producer Roshan Singh and he said, “We requested the judges that we are short of time and it won’t be possible to wait for 10 days. But they didn’t relent. Hence, Rang De Basanti won’t arrive in cinemas on March 22.”

He further said with a heavy heart, “I’ll face a loss of nearly Rs. 10 crores due to this delay. It is devastating. There’s a lot of excitement for this film. It was going to get the biggest release ever for a Bhojpuri film, in around 500 screens.”

Bollywood Hungama went through the cut list provided by the EC to the makers. The makers were asked to reduce violence by 50% in a fight sequence at the beginning of the film and the scene where the lead actor uses a trishul to fight the baddies. They also asked the makers to delete religious-related terms and words like 'Allah Hu Akbar', 'Hindu', 'Hindutva', 'Pawan Putra Hanuman', 'Bhagwadhari', etc. The makers were also told to delete the word 'Haramzaade'.

The industry insider said, “The cuts asked by the EC were unjustified and hence, the makers had no option but to approach the court.”

The Rang De Basanti vs CBFC row has sent shockwaves in the industry from the very start. Though the censor screening of the film took place on February 19 and the screening report was submitted on February 21, the process was delayed due to a lack of clearance from the chairperson. The makers wrote letters and requested the process to be fastened but their plea fell on deaf ears. The matter became so serious that Abhay Sinha, president of the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) too wrote to the CBFC requesting urgent clearance.

Bollywood Hungama spoke to Roshan Singh on March 10 and he had then claimed, “On March 8, I got a call from CBFC and I was asked, ‘Kya aap apni film ka title change kar sakte hai kya?’. I made it clear that it’s not possible as we have begun the publicity and the material has gone out.”

Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has invested significantly in Panorama Studios International, a film production company experiencing a remarkable stock market rise. The Singham actor acquired 1 lakh equity shares through a preferential issue, injecting Rs 2.74 crores into the small-cap company.

Panorama Studios recently issued 10 lakh equity shares and 15.41 lakh warrants to promoters and non-promoters. Ajay joined nine other investors, collectively contributing Rs 24.66 crores to the preferential share allotment, as per regulatory filings. Devgn's investment translates to Rs 274 per share.

Panorama Studios International's stock price has seen a significant upward trend in 2024. It has gained over 176% year-to-date and a staggering 255% in the past three months. Notably, the stock has delivered exceptional multi-bagger returns exceeding 884% in the last year.

This investment holds additional significance as the 54-year-old actor has previously collaborated with Panorama Studios on successful films like Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Raid, and Drishyam. A few weeks ago, Panorama Studios announced production agreements for three Punjabi films: Carry On Jettiye, Ardaas 3, and Manje Bistre 3, partnering with Humble Motion Pictures FZCO and Reliance Industries (JIO Studios).

Additionally, Panorama Studios is working on a Hollywood remake of the Drishyam franchise with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films. The studio reportedly aims to produce Drishyam in 10 countries over the next three to five years.
