Netizens and film industry woke up today with the launch of the grand poster of the much-awaited film Adipurush. It featured Prabhas and has enhanced the excitement for the grand first look and teaser launch event, which will take place in Ayodhya on Sunday, October 2.

The poster was unveiled by the makers of Adipurush today early in the morning, at 7:11 am. And now it has come to light that the teaser will also be released at the same time on October 2, but in the evening.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “A grand event has been planned by the producers in the holy town of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. It’ll be held at the banks of the river Sarayu. The event is expected to start at around 7:00 pm. At 7:11 pm, the teaser and first look will be unveiled to the media and audiences. The time adds up to 9, which the makers and the team of the film consider to be a lucky number.”

The source continued, “The media from Mumbai as well as from Delhi are expected to be flown to the holy city to witness one of the biggest and most special events of the year. The whole industry and trade are waiting to see the first look and promo of Adipurush with bated breath. The inside reports till now have been very promising due to which it is expected to break all box office records. The teaser will confirm this aspect.”

According to the official press release of the film, Adipurush is based on the epic Ramayana, showcasing the triumph of good over evil. This religious town in Uttar Pradesh is also the birthplace of Lord Ram, making the location much more relevant for this grand event. The poster, as well as the teaser, will reflect the scale of the film

Prabhas will be present at this event along with lead actress Kriti Sanon, director Om Raut and producer Bhushan Kumar. Adipurush also stars Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Vatsal Sheth. It will release in cinemas on January 12, 2023, in IMAX and 3D.

Veteran actress Asha Parekh was conferred with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award at the 68^th National Film Awards held at Vigyan Bhawan. The awards were delayed by a year due to the pandemic. The 79-year-old actress was honoured with the prestigious award by President Droupadi Murmu.

Asha Parekh said, “It is a huge honour to have received the Dada Saheb Phalke award. It makes me very grateful that the recognition comes to me just one day before my 80th birthday. This is the best honour I could get from the Government of India. I would like to thank the jury for the recognition that they have bestowed upon me, my long journey and fulfilling the journey in the film industry.” She is the recipient of the award for the year 2020.

She added, “Our film industry is the best place to be in. And I would like to suggest to the youngsters who are in this industry to have perseverance, determination, discipline, and to be grounded, and I congratulate all the awardees tonight.’

Last year, the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for the year 2019 was awarded to superstar Rajinikanth.

Known as one of the most popular and influential actresses of all time in Hindi cinema, Asha Parekh starred in several iconic movies like Teesri Manzil, Kati Patang, Caravan, Do Badan among others. The actress made her debut as a child artist in Bollywood with the 1952 film Aasmaan.

Amidst the grand success of Brahmastra, new producer-entrepreneur Alia Bhatt has decided to add yet another feather to her cap. After launching the brand Ed-A-Mamma, which was solely dedicated to kids' wear, the mother-to-be has launched her collection of maternity wear. In a recent post shared by the actress, announcing the launch of her maternity wear, she mentioned that she modified her own clothes to be her maternity wear because she believes there isn’t enough explored when it comes to maternity fashion. At the recent Forbes event Tycoons of Tomorrow, where Alia Bhatt was one of the speakers, the actress spoke about launching this new collection.

In the recent Forbes event, Alia Bhatt opened up about her ‘investor’ side where she spoke about her entrepreneurial skills and what pushed her to start her maternity line. “What started off as a gap in my wardrobe turned out to be a whole maternity line,” she said. She also revealed that she was wearing her own maternity line at the event. “These are really comfy lounge pants. It’s Ed-A-Mamma, Maternity Wear. This was like a lounge set but the layer was not making any sense. It was looking like I was coming to the lounge like a Forbes event. So I paired it up with this blazer which is not mine. But that’s what I discovered! The maternity wear was all a certain style which was screaming maternity. I wanted to bring my own style into it which is what I did,” added the actress.

Speaking of her forthcoming films, Alia Bhatt is currently gearing up for the release of her Hollywood debut Heart of Stone where she co-stars an ensemble cast including Gal Gadot. She also has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh, in the pipeline. Coming to Ed-A-Mamma, the actress will be launching the new collection of maternity wear on October 1.

The much talked about The Immortal Ashwatthama starring Vicky Kaushal is finally back on track. Another interesting development is that Samantha Ruth Prabhu will headline alongside Vicky instead of Sara Ali Khan. Now, reports claim that not only is the Aditya Dhar directorial back on track, it stars next year in February.

Vicky Kaushal has gone into training mode again for this ambitious project. There was back and forth between the studios and Aditya Dhar and now it seems like the film is back on track. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the film, which is bankrolled by Jio Studios, is made on a big scale but the budget has been realigned "but its all backend on the cast and crew front with no compromises made on actual cost of production." Dhar has worked on the script for 3 years and has done the storyboard of the film, which has impressed the production house.

As per the publication, "It’s a film that can change the tide for Hindi cinema. Aditya wants to introduce The Immortal Ashwatthama from Mahabharata in a superhero format, and believes that his story can cross national boundaries too. He is all excited and is finally and actually set to take the film on floors by next summer."

The film was put on backburner, for which Vicky Kaushal was rigorously training for his physical transformation. For his portrayal of Ashwatthama — the son of Dronacharya, the actor was training in horse-riding and various martial art forms, including krav maga and jujutsu.

Son of Guru Dronacharya and Kripi, Ashwatthama fought with the Kauravas against the Pandavas in Mahabharat’s Kurukshetra war. He was born to the couple as an answer to Drona’s prayers for a son as valiant as Lord Shiva. A Chiranjivi (immortal beings who according to Hindu mythology will last as long as Kalyug), Ashwatthama was born with a gem in his forehead which gave him power over all living beings lower than humans and protected him from hunger, thirst, and fatigue.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan will celebrate his 80^th birthday on October 11. Known for his mega movie star status and brilliant performances in films spanning decades, there will be a grand celebration in his honour. To mark his 80^th birthday, a film festival will be organised in October. The Film Heritage Foundation is organising a 4-day film festival starting from October 8 to October 11 to celebrate Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday. 11 iconic movies from his filmography will be screened at 22 screens in PVR Cinemas across 17 cities in India.

The films that will be premiered are Don, Kaala Patthar, Kaalia, Kabhi Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halaal, Abhimaan, Deewar, Mili, Satte Pe Satta and Chupke Chupke. Apart from this, a special exhibition of Amitabh Bachchan memorabilia will also be held at PVR Cinemas at Juhu in Mumbai. It will be organised by SMM Ausaja.

Film Heritage Foundation is a not-for-profit organization set up by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur in 2014. It is dedicated to supporting the conservation, preservation and restoration of the moving image and to developing interdisciplinary programs to create awareness about the language of cinema.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was most recently seen in Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The film was helmed by Ayan Mukerji. He will next star in Vikas Bahl’s Goodbye starring Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta. He also has Unnchai with Sooraj Barjatya, The Intern remake with Deepika Padukone and Project K with Prabhas and Deepika.

As part of the 60th-anniversary celebration of the James Bond franchise, Prime Video unveiled the official posters and trailers of The Sound of 007, a Mat Whitecross-helmed feature documentary about the remarkable history of six decades of James Bond music that will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories worldwide from October 25. Prime members can also stream all 25 of the Bond franchise films on the service.

Additionally, following the live October 4 EON Productions and David Arnold-created charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall, Prime Video will globally stream an exclusive recording of the show—The Sound of 007: LIVE from the Royal Albert Hall. At the event, guest vocalists and a host of stars will perform iconic Bond themes.

The Sound of 007: LIVE from the Royal Albert Hall is an exclusive recording of the official charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall on October 4. Guest vocalists will join a lineup curated by five-time Bond composer David Arnold. The concert marks 60 years since the world premiere of Dr. No, the first 007 film, on October 5, 1962. Honoring the franchise’s long tradition of supporting charitable causes, the proceeds of The Sound of 007: LIVE from the Royal Albert Hall will benefit two music charities: Nordoff Robbins and The BRIT Trust. Following the concert, a custom Duesenberg guitar signed by Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, David Arnold, and the artists will be auctioned online at Christie’s to raise additional funds for the music charities.

After creating a lot of hype on social media, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn finally dropped the first look of his character Vijay Salgaonkar from Drishyam 2. Interestingly, the actor took to his social media handle on Thursday and shared a recall teaser. The video was a revisit to the story of the prequel. However, the last few seconds of the one-minute-twenty-two-seconds long teaser gave a glimpse into Drishyam 2.

At various scenes throughout the teaser video, some words appear on the screen, which read, “some secrets never stay buried”. Before the video ends. We can hear one of the dialogues of Tabu’s character, which goes - “when there is no evidence, the only way is - to get the confession of the criminal.”

Right after that, we see Vijay Salgaonkar, on record, saying, “This is my confession”, in Hindi. Sharing the recall teaser, Devgn wrote, “Vijay aur uske parivaar ki kahaani toh yaad hogi na aapko? Ki yaad dilaye?” As soon as the teaser was shared on the actor’s social media feed, fans and netizens flooded the comments section with “can’t wait.”

Fans were also inquisitive about their next onscreen appearance. For the uninitiated, the couple was last seen in ’83 as real-life cricketer Kapil Dev and his wife Romi Dev. It was their first onscreen role as a couple after their marriage. Responding to the question, Ranveer asserted that they will catch a glimpse of him with wife Deepika soon and referred to it as a ‘sweet surprise’.

He said, “Touchwood…We met and started dating in 2012… so 2022 is ten years of me and Deepika. I have nothing but the utmost respect for her and I admire her a lot. I have learnt a lot from her in my personal life too. There is a sweet surprise for everyone. You guys will see us together very soon. She is one of the best things that has happened to me and am so grateful for her in my life.”

Speaking of their individual projects, Ranveer Singh has reunited with the Simmba filmmaker for Cirkus which also stars Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. The actor has also almost completed the Karan Johar directorial with Alia Bhatt, titled Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani which features an ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. Deepika Padukone too has massive projects in the pipeline which includes Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham starrer Pathaan, Hrithik Roshan starrer Fighter, and Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas starrer Project K.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has always won the audiences over with her presence on-screen and it all comes from her dedication to her craft. The actress is leaving no stone unturned in her preparation for Citadel.

According to a source, "For her upcoming project, Citadel and a few others too, Samantha has been taking Hindi dialect training for a while. She is working with a very reputed dialect coach and tutor, who has previously trained the best of the best in the industry."

Citadel, produced by Russo Brothers, will have an Indian version starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. It will be directed by director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The American series stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden and is expected to air in 2023.

On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has an exciting slate of projects ahead including Citadel, Shaakuntalam, Kushi, and Yashoda.

A court in Bihar issued arrest warrants against producer Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor on the charges of insulting soldiers and hurting the sentiments of their family members in her ALT Balaji web series XXX season 2. A complaint was filed by a resident and ex-servicemen from Begusarai, Shambhu Kumar. The court of judge Vikas Kumar issued the arrest warrants.

"The series was aired on ALTBalaji, an OTT platform owned by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms Ltd. Shobha Kapoor is also associated with Balaji Telefilms," said Hrishikesh Pathak, the advocate of Shambhu Kumar, as reported by NDTV.

He added, "The court had issued summons to them (Kapoors) and asked them to appear before it in connection with the matter. They (Kapoors), however, informed the court that certain scenes in the series were removed after the objection. But they did not appear before the court following which the warrant was issued against them."

In the 2020 complaint, Shambhu Kumar alleged that the web series XXX season 2 had several objectionable scenes related to the wife of the soldier.

XXX is a web series directed by Ken Ghosh (season 1) for the ALT Balaji platform owned by Ekta Kapoor. The series stars Kyra Dutt, Aparnaa Bajpai, Rithvik Dhanjani, Shantanu Maheshwari, Ankit Gera, Pryanca Talukdar and Aparna Sharma. Season 2 was directed by Akshay Choubey.

Readers would be aware that Brahmastra was announced years ago, way back somewhere in 2015. Seven years later, the film finally saw the light of the day and has opened up to rave reviews from audiences. The VFX of the film is being highly appreciated and there are a lot of expectations riding high on the second part of the trilogy. When the film was announced with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji asserted that it is only the first part of the Brahmastra trilogy. Speaking about the other two parts at the recently held FICCI event in Mumbai, Ayan, who shared the stage with producer Karan Johar, opened up about the details of the film.

At the recent FICCI event, Ayan Mukerji said, “We hope we can complete the film faster and people can enjoy it. That's the vision! Our production processes are now being able to fasten this Astraverse. It was very important to achieve that because we can’t take another 7 years to make Part 2. So how do we integrate that quality within that amount of time?” The filmmaker asserted that the work on the second installment of the trilogy will be completed at a much faster pace. He went on to add, “I feel that urge to start working on part two how to get faster. So that's the vision. We have to make this all happen.”

During the same event, Ayan also spoke about what the second and third parts will be like. While there have been theories and ideas floating around about what the next film will be, the filmmaker opened up by asserting that the two films will be a lot more technical unlike the first. He added, “I think what also attracted a lot of people was Indian spirituality along with the visual spectacle. I think it’s a very important ingredient. I realized very early on that the bedrock of this fantasy needs to come from Indian history.”

He added, “I did not approach the first part in a scholarly fashion, I approached it in a very emotional fashion. In fact, as I move on to part two and part three, we might get a little more academic on Astras and will be reading a lot about Indian mythology. But in Part One, I approached it in a very emotional manner. The first part was more about my connection with my faith, with God, stuff in me that I had forgotten, the shlokas that I had heard, what was my understanding of Hindu philosophy and I just expressed all of it. I went with this idea that if I do this in a pure way with a pure heart, somehow it will go through very naturally and people will not have any issues.”

He went on to speak about how Brahmastra did not get entangled in any controversy because he made it with pure intention. “I think we had one issue with Ranbir kicking the Kandi in the trailer you know he was wearing slippers but it went through very nicely. So I think my instinct worked,” he concluded.

Netflix’s limited drama Monster — Dahmer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, co-created by Ryan Murphy, topped the Netflix top 10 chart this week, scoring the No. 1 spot with 196.2 million hours viewed following its September 21 premiere.

According to Variety, during the September 19 - September 25 viewing window, the 10-episode limited series – starring Evan Peters – knocked Cobra Kai Season 5 off down to the third spot. Notably, Monster scored around triple the title in second place. Season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga stayed at the No. 2 spot for the second week.

The second installment of the fantasy series, which premiered on the streamer on September 16, earned nearly 61 million hours views in its first full week of availability. The show’s first season also appeared at No. 5, more than a year after its January 2021 release. It received 20.3 million hours watched during the measured window.

Ryan Murphy’s story of notorious serial killers had already been viewed for nearly 200 million hours last week. Meanwhile, The Crown continues its reign on the Top 10 list and sits in fourth place with 25.7 million hours viewed while Season 2 ranks at No. 7 on the list, earning 17.5 million hours viewed.

Released on September 21, The Jeffrey Dahmer Story “exposes these unconscionable crimes, centered around the underserved victims and their communities impacted by the systemic racism and institutional failures of the police that allowed one of America's most notorious serial killers to continue his murderous spree in plain sight for over a decade.”

Star Trek’s fourth entry has been removed from Paramount Picture’s slate of upcoming releases.  The project, produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot, had been dated to hit theaters on December 22, 2023. According to Variety, the news comes roughly one month after director Matt Shakman exited the Star Trek film, presumably to rejoin the MCU. Shakman first became attached to the sequel in the summer of 2021.

The Star Trek announcement even landed the same day Shakman was nominated for an Emmy for the show. As per the report, it was also announced by Abrams this February, during the Paramount Global investors day presentation, that a new Trek movie “will be shooting by the end of the year and will feature our original cast.”

Star Trek franchise features Chris Pine as Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Zoe Saldana as Uhura, Karl Urban as Bones, John Cho as Sulu and Simon Pegg as Scotty, who were all expected to return for the fourth untitled follow-up. The last Trek feature came in 2016 with Star Trek Beyond directed by Justin Lin, which became the lowest grosses of any of the Trek reboots from Bad Robot.

While Chris Pine and other stars have all expressed their interest in doing a fourth film, they also expressed skepticism it could move ahead that quickly. But as of now, it’s unclear whether Paramount will move the date and, if they do, who will fill the director’s chair.

Meanwhile, Star Trek has five ongoing Trek series: Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Prodigy, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

South Korean superstar Song Joong Ki is set to appear in the lead role in the upcoming series Reborn Rich, earlier titled The Conglomerate. The network JTBC confirmed the ensemble cast of the upcoming K-drama, which is one of the highly anticipated shows of the year.

Song Joong Ki will star in the role of the rich family’s secretary who is reborn as the family’s youngest son Yoon Hyun Woo. His character dies “after being framed for embezzlement by the Sunyang Group family that he had remained loyal to.” He is reborn as the family’s youngest son Jin Do Joon and decided to take revenge after taking over the company.

As per Korean media portal Soompi, Lee Sung Min will essay the role of head of Sunyang Group, Jin Yang Chul. After spending his growing years in poverty, he works up his way to become the top businessman in the financial world and has become competitive and harsh with greed for money. Shin Hyun Been will be seen in the role of anti-corruption investigation prosecutor Seo Min Young who hails from a prestigious legal family. She has a nickname “Sunyang Group’s grim reaper,” and will “approach the boundaries of legality if it is for the sake of serving justice.”

On Wednesday, apart from the lead stars, an array of ensemble cast members were announced. Yoon Je Moon will play the role of Jin Yang Chul’s oldest son Jin Young Ki; Kim Jung Nam will take on the part of Son Jung Rae, Jin Young Ki’s wife. Jo Han Chul will essay the role of Jin Yang Chul’s second eldest son Jin Dong Ki. Seo Jae Hee will be playing Jin Dong Ki’s wife Yoo Ji Na.

Kim Young Jae is confirmed to play Song Joong Ki’s character Jin Do Joon’s father and Jin Yang Chul’s third son Jin Yoon Ki. Jung Hye Young will be playing former top celebrity and Jin Do Joon’s mother Lee Hae In. Kim Hyun will take on the role of Yang Chul’s wife Lee Pil Ok.

Kim Shin Rok is also cast in the series as Jin Yang Chul’s daughter Jin Hwa Young; Kim Do Hyun will play Jin Hwa Young’s husband Choi Chang Je; Park Hyuk Kwon will play Jin Do Joon’s partner Oh Se Hyun whereas Kim Nam Hee will essay the role of Sunyang Group’s heir Jin Sung Joon. Park Ji Hyun will take on the role of Mo Hyun Min. Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany will also be part of the series and play the role of Rachel, Oh Se Hyun’s right hand.

The production team said in a statement, as per translation by Korean media portal Soompi, “Reborn Rich is a life-reset story of one man who is at death’s door but revives as the youngest son of a chaebol family in 1987. It is a project taking place in a special fantasy world with retro [vibes]. None of the characters are ordinary, and they each have their own greed and narrative. The relationships of these carefully woven characters on top of a time of upheaval will deliver enjoyment [to viewers] that is on another level.”

The series is based on the hit novel “Reborn Rich”. The series will premiere on November 19, 2022 and will air until January 8, 2023, taking the Saturday and Sunday primetime slots on the JTBC network.

It’s official. Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds is set for a 2024 release in theatres. Not only is the actor returning with the role, but he also brings along Hugh Jackman with him. The Wolverine star is set to reprise the iconic character, who died in the 2017 film Logan. The announcement was made on Tuesday.

“Hey everyone, we’re extremely sad to have missed D23, but we’ve been working very hard on the next Deadpool film for a good long while now,” Reynolds says in a hilarious announcement video, referencing the D23 Expo which took place in Anaheim in California in early September. “I’ve had to really search my soul on this one. His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, and find new depth, motivation, and meaning. Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside. And I…I have nothing. Yeah, just completely empty up here. And terrifying. But we did have one idea.”

“Hey, Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?” Reynolds asks as Hugh Jackman walks by in the background, confirming his return as the iconic character. “Yeah, sure, Ryan,” the Wolverine actor responds. The hilarious video ends with ‘I Will Always Love; by Whitney Houston with captions such as “I will always love Hugh” — and a “Coming Hugh” teaser. Towards the end of the video, we see the logo of Deadpool appear on the screen followed by Wolverine’s adamantium claws.

Shawn Levy, who has worked with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project, is on board to direct the third installment of Deadpool. With this project, the franchise joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe officially following Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox. The script will be penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who previously wrote the first two installments. The film will remain R-rated as per earlier reports.

Salman Khan is once again taking his hosting duties. The actress is set to return to the TV screens with the 16^th season of the reality show, Bigg Boss. The official announcement of Bigg Boss 16 was made on Tuesday at a grand press conference in Mumbai. During the event, the actor spoke about the speculations about him not returning as the host of the reality show.

Addressing the claims at the press conference on Tuesday, Salman Khan said, “I also get irritated sometimes and tell this to people that I don’t want to do the show. But these people are majboor to take me. If not me, who then. However, if it was on them, they wouldn’t come to me. Main khud apne paas na jaun. But inke paas option nahi hai.”

When asked what brings him back to the show each season, he added, “Bahut kuch sekhne ko milta hai (I get to learn a lot). I get to meet so many people and whenever everyone goes off track, I like getting them back on the right way. I protect the bullied and bully the ones who bully. The four months that we are on air, we do develop a bond.”

At the event, the actor announced the first contestant, his Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star and Tajik singer Abdu Rozik. Bigg Boss 16 will premiere on October 1 and the introduction to the contestants will be given on the premiere day. They will be locked inside the Bigg Boss house for a hundred days.

Reportedly, Bigg Boss 16 will see Tina Dutta, Sreejita De, Gautam Vig, Shalin Bhanot, Sumbul Touqueer, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Manya Singh, Soundarya Sharma and Gori Nagori enter the house this season. The contestants are yet to be officially announced.

Superstar Salman Khan is set to return with the 16^th season of the reality show, Bigg Boss. At an official announcement on Tuesday in a grand press conference, the actor announced the first contestant, his Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan co-star Abdu Rozik.

Abdu Rozik is a Tajik singer, who is a sensation on social media and lives in Dubai. “It is great, he does not understand Hindi but can sing Hindi songs," Salman said as Abdu entered the stage singing ‘Dil Deewana’ from Maine Pyar Kiya. They spoke about what happens once you enter the house. While Rozik insisted one can expect a lot of drama, Salman Khan said that romance stars in the house first before the drama begins.

Talking about his entry into the house, Abdu said at the event, “I am very happy. I am excited to go inside the house. I love everyone and please support me.”

Gauahar Khan, the former winner of Bigg Boss, hosted the event on Tuesday. Bigg Boss will premiere on October 1 and the introduction to the contestants will be given on the premiere day. They will be locked inside the Bigg Boss 16 house for a hundred days.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained in a new interview why he and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler chose not to recast Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa in the upcoming sequel Wakanda Forever after the actor’s death.

In an interview The Hollywood Reporter, Feige insisted Boseman needed to be honored, not replaced, in Ryan Coogler’s follow-up film. “It just felt like it was much too soon to recast,” Feige said. “Stan Lee always said that Marvel represents the world outside your window.”

He added, “And we had talked about how, as extraordinary and fantastical as our characters and stories are, there’s a relatable and human element to everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad. And Ryan poured that into the story,” the Marvel Studios boss shared.

After Boseman died of colon cancer at the age of 43 in August 2020, Marvel and the filmmakers were forced to reconceive Black Panther 2. The trailer for the sequel suggests that the film acknowledges the death of T'Challa.

“The conversations were entirely about, yes, ‘What do we do next? And how could the legacy of Chadwick — and what he had done to help Wakanda and the Black Panther become these incredible, aspirational, iconic ideas — continue?’ That’s what it was all about,” Feige said.

The follow-up brings back much of the cast with some newcomers. Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett are set to star in the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters November 11.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan faced quite a failure with this last release Laal Singh Chaddha. While the film released on August 11, it failed to create any magic at the box office. Since then, the actor has been in US taking some time off before he resumes work. Reportedly, Aamir will next be seen in a film directed by RS Prasanna who had directed Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Rumours are rife that Anushka Sharma has been approached to play the female lead. Now, there's a new development on the project.

As per a report in Peeping Moon, the makers have begun pre-production on the project and have reportedly worked out a six-month schedule for the shoot. Produced by Sony Pictures India, the makers are busy with location scouting, casting and finalising other aspects of it.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan has given the dates from January onwards and shooting will commence once he returns from the US. The plan is to kick-off the schedule from January 2023 onwards.

Another development on the remake is that Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have been roped in for the music. This will mark Aamir Khan's third project with the music composer trip after Dil Chahta Hai in 2001 and Taare Zameen Par in 2007.

The Hindi remake will be set in Punjab with Aamir Khan reportedly will be playing the role of a stubborn and hot-headed minor league basketball coach who is sentenced to community service and forced to coach a Special Olympics team, whose players have a range of learning disabilities. RS Prasanna has adapted the script as per the sensibilities of India and penned it as per stories of the real development disabilities players.

The said film is the official remake of the Spanish film Campeones. Campeones meaning Champions is a sports comedy-drama set against the backdrop of basketball where an arrogant coach is forced to do community service and train a team with developmental disabilities. The film starred Javier Gutierrez, Jose de Luna, Gloria Ramos, Roberto Chinchilla, Athenea Mata, Luisa Gavasa, Mariano Llorente, Daniel Freire, and Juan Margallo. It was directed by Javier Fesser. The film was the biggest national box office hit of the year.

Period drama film Armageddon Time – which is being well received by the critiques – has reportedly submitted Anne Hathaway’s name for Oscar consideration in Supporting Actor category.

According to Variety, two-time Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway, who plays the devoted mother Esther, was one of the actors who seemed to straddle the line between lead and supporting, and she will be seeking the latter.

Additionally for supporting actor, Emmy winner Jeremy Strong (Succession) will also compete for the award alongside a long list of veterans including his co-star Anthony Hopkins who portrays the wise and loving grandfather Aaron.

Per the report, Jaylin Webb will also be presented as a supporting player for his debut in the feature film. His co-star Banks Repeta, who plays the young Paul, will be the sole actor submitted for lead consideration.

The coming-of-age story is also seeking recognition in the technical races: production design (Happy Massee and Teri Bella), cinematography (Darius Khondji, who also shot “Bardo”), costume design (Madeline Weeks), film editing (Scott Morris) and original score (Christopher Spelman).

Armageddon Time will open in limited release on October 28 then nationwide on November 4.

Amid all the chaos around the remake version of ‘O Sajna’, Neha Kakkar and Falguni Pathak playing Garba and Dandiya have left netizens confused. For the unversed, days after the release of the Neha Kakkar track, Falguni Pathak slammed the makers of the song while revealing that she wanted to sue them. While the debate on the matter is making rounds on the internet, singer Sona Mohapatra has jumped into the conversation and defended her contemporaries. 

Before voicing her opinion, the ‘Ambarsariya’ singer shared a tweet bashing Bollywood music. In her tweet, Sona wrote, “the constant showcasing of a lack of courage to back new compositions, songwriters, disrespecting creators, writers has destroyed the fabric of what made #Bollywood music culturally relevant.The horror of the Sri Lankan ‘Manike Mage’ remade, case in point2. Puke worthy for me.”

The ‘Jiya Laage Na’ singer shared another tweet, in which she addressed Neha Kakkar and Falguni Pathak’s feud while commenting on people assuming that Neha-Falguni’s online tiff was nothing but a “publicity stunt”. Sona’s tweet read, “& why are people so silly that they’re buying into the PR release of a reality show trying to ride the #FalguniPathak news cycle & discredit her reaction as a publicity stunt? Don’t they know that such shows record episodes much in advance & she must not have a clue then?”. 

Meanwhile, Hindustan Times has also published a report quoting the team of Falguni Pathak. An insider told the publication, “This particular segment was shot during the auditions round. It was shot in August. The timing is all coincidental. They shot the chunk for Navratri. In fact, at that time, Neha and Falguni were quite cordial. Currently, Neha doesn’t even wish to talk about Falguni and was quite clear that she won’t promote the particular episode or talk about what it was like to have Falguni on the sets”.

Singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad has announced the India leg of his highly anticipated ‘The Way That Lovers Do’ World Tour. Spread over 2 months and spanning 15 cities, the widely loved musician will be embarking on what is positioned to be one of his largest-ever homegrown tours within the sub-continent. The Supreme Court on Monday upheld the Gujarat High Court order which quashed a criminal complaint case filed against Shah Rukh Khan. Readers may be aware that the actor was travelling by Rajdhani Express for the promotions of Raees and it allegedly caused a stampede when they halted at Kota to meet the fans. A case against Shah Rukh Khan was registered regarding the matter under various sections.

Now, as per Live Law India, on September 26, 2022, a bench comprising Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice C. T. Ravikumar passed the order “refusing to interfere with the decision taken by the High Court quashing the complaint filed by Jitendra Madhubai Solanki.”

For the unversed, Indian Penal Code Sections 336, 337, and 338 of IPC and Sections 145, 150, 152, 154, and 155 (1) (a) of the Railways Act, 1989 were charged against Shah Rukh Khan. One person had died and two cops had collapsed following the panic on January 23, 2017, while it was alleged that several were injured during Raees’ railway promotions. The complaint was filed by local Congressman Jitendra Solanki, following which the police filed an announcement against the actor, and the court took cognizance of it. HYBE announced on Monday that ‘The City’ project would be launched in parallel with the Korea concert of BTS, called Yet To Come in Busan, for the bid for World Expo 2030 in October. ‘The City’ project is an “urban concert playpark” that takes over an entire city with various entertainment activations and events which provides an expansive and immersive experience for fans to enjoy beyond the concert. HYBE previously rolled out the project with BTS’ Permission to Dance on Stage – Las Vegas in April 2022, transforming the entire city with events that took place across the Las Vegas Strip area before and after the concerts.

‘The City’ in Busan plans to hold similar events—from shopping and entertainment, F&B, hotel accommodations and more—throughout the city to set forth the festive atmosphere, while raising the anticipation around the bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Busan Metropolitan City. Highlights from ‘The City’ will include, A photo exhibition ‘2022 BTS Exhibition: Proof’ that opens on October 5 showcasing the 9-year history of BTS’ career; an amusement park event at the Lotte World Adventure Busan which will feature fireworks and laser shows with BTS songs set to run from October 14 to 31; accommodations hotels in the metropolitan area offering exclusive BTS-themed packages; pop-up stores with exclusive official concert merch from the upcoming show in Busan.

On October 15, the concert day, the in-person live broadcast event LIVE PLAY will be held at the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal Outdoor Parking Lot and a special stage in the Haeundae area to deliver the heat of the concert across Busan.

Back in June 2022, BTS were appointed as ambassadors for Busan’s World Expo 2030 bid and would hold the Global Busan Concert to support the nation’s bid to host the Expo in Busan Metropolitan City. HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk and CEO Park Jiwon, and Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City Park Heong Joon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Busan Metropolitan City Hall to promote Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030. As part of the agreement, BTS as ambassadors will hold the Global Busan Concert in an effort to bring the World Expo 2030 to Busan.

Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 has finally found its winner. While the finalists included choreographer Tushar Kalia, internet sensation and TV actress Jannat Zubair, popular television star Rubina Dilaik, TV actor Mohit Malik, and vlogger Mr. Faisu. After a strong competition, Tushar finally held the trophy and also won Rs. 20 lakhs as well as a car after turning winner for the stunt-based reality show. Mr. Faisu earned the place of the first runner-up.

Tushar Kalia took to Instagram to share a photo of him kissing the trophy and thanked the audience for all the love and support he received from them. On the other hand, the official Instagram page of Colors Channel shared a series of photos marking his epic win on the show as well as included photos where the host Rohit Shetty was presenting him the coveted trophy. The finale episode showcased a tough competition from contestants, and it also had the team of the Rohit Shetty film Cirkus as its special guests. Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde and the rest of the cast appeared on the show and bonded with the finalists.

Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 that kicked off in July featured celebrities who attempt to overcome their fears as they presented with different challenging tasks each day. Besides Mohit, Rubina, Faisu, Jannat, and the winner Tushar, Shivangi Joshi, Pratik Sehajpal, Nishant Bhat, Erika Fernandez, Chetna Pande, Aneri Vajani, Sriti Jha, Kanika Mann, Rajiv Adatia were also the contestants of Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. The show aired on Colors on Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm. The show will now be replaced by Bigg Boss which kicks off on October 1.

A group of 40 crew members, that worked on the production of Don't Worry Darling, issued a joint statement on Saturday denying the reports of tensions between director Olivia Wilde and star Florence Pugh on the set of the psychological thriller.

According to Entertainment Weekly, allegations that Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh got into a "screaming match" on set are "complete false," according to the crew members, which include writer and producer Katie Silberman, producer Miri Yoon, costume designer Arianne Phillips, and director of photography Matthew Libatique.

"As a crew, we've avoided addressing the absurd gossip surrounding the movie we're so proud of, but feel the need to correct the anonymous 'sources' quoted in a recent article," Silberman and co. said in a joint statement issued to People. "Any allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of Don't Worry Darling are completely false."

Olivia Wilde, "an incredible leader and director who was present with and involved in every aspect of production," the crew said, "ran this set with class and respect for everyone involved." The statement continued, "There was never a screaming match between our director and anyone, let alone a member of our cast."

"We are happy to put our names on this, as real people who worked on the film, and who have witnessed and benefitted from the collaborative and safe space Olivia creates as a director and leader," the crew members continued. "We're also thrilled that the movie is in theaters this weekend."

Miri Yoon, a producer for Don't Worry Darling, also told PEOPLE exclusively, "Rumors of screaming matches between our director and leading lady on set are completely unfounded. We truly hope you enjoy the movie." The statement comes after a Friday report from Vulture tabloid in which an anonymous source recalled a “screaming match” between Wilde and Pugh.

The report said then-studio head Toby Emmerich had to intervene and moderate a “long negotiation process” to ensure that Pugh would participate in the film’s press promotion and “not jeopardize the potential box office.”

Don't Worry Darling arrives in theaters September 30.
